Hi! I'm Joebenick my friends call me badjo or jobad, an I.T. Developer on an Australian Company located at Ortigas Pasig
City Philippines and hooked up in photography, since I found it very interesting.
Developer
I'm an FOSS follower, I've been a PHP Developer for 6 yrs been exploring on different frameworks and other web technologies, right now I'm interested on Codeigniter development.
I'm also a Linux user for 5 yrs, I started out on Redhat's Fedora Core 2 to Debian to Debian's Ubuntu Distro, I'm currently using their latest verion Ubuntu Karmic Koala.
Web Development is my BFF since highschool and I've been dreaming of creating my own website, so I took B.S. in Computer Science in AMA Computer University in Project 8 Quezon City to pursue my dreams. And after 4yrs I graduated the course and study PHP for 6 months that time resources are limited, I've found this forum called PinoyWebmasters (sad to say the site is not available) and a good forum member taught me how to code PHP.
s And now here I am still seeking for knowledge in PHP and I'd love to know more about this wonderful web programming language.
I started using Linux on my first job that's way back 2004 because of viruses, I installed Fedora Core 2 on my PC and tried playing with it, luckly my big brother is also a linux user so he taught me the basics and along the way I met Ubuntu, that time it is called Ubuntu 4.10 Warthy Warthog from there I learned alot on this wonderful Operating System.
Photography
I started photography when i got my first Digicam, Samsung L60, and bought a Canon S3IS at Japan August 2007 and Acquired a Nikon D40 May 2008 at a cheaper price and its brand new (good deal lol) and using it for more than a year now.
I love taking photographs of landscapes, waterscapes and cityscapes, I'm also in to Fashion Photography, and my current favorite is taking photographs of insects and macro abstract, in short i love Macro Photography :P
I take photographs to show the whole world what I see every day or everywhere I go, because I believe that taking photograph is endless, every seconds of our life is worth taking photos, and for me/us to share what is that and worth remembering.
I use GIMP on Linux as my post processing tool : )
